Bayboro Brewing

Bayboro Brewing Co. was founded by James and Kelcy Coleman. Kelcy is a St. Pete native; James was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. They have two small children. After completing his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, James headed to the Tampa Bay area to attend college at the University of South Florida and never looked back.

James’ path to beer connoisseurship started when he became an early member of World of Beer. On weekends he and his friends reveled in tasting beers from around the world. Some brews were reminiscent of his time in the service; others were made from innovative recipes with ingredients you would not expect to find in beer. James was smitten with rituals of beer discovery and especially appreciated the social aspects it affords. The dream of his own community-focused brewery and tasting room was born.
