Opportunities to Serve on Montgomery Municipal Boards

Montgomery residents who would like to volunteer to serve on a municipal board, commission or committee are encouraged to apply for position appointments for 2018. Montgomery residents serve on many of the Township's over 30 committees. Most of the appointments are made in the beginning of January but vacancies can open up any time throughout the year. Some of the boards meet regularly once or twice a month while others schedule their meetings as they go. Most but not all meet at night. Some are permanent committees while others are ad hoc, created to tackle a specific issue. Besides full member positions, there are alternate and advisory positions available. Depending on the position, terms can be one, two or three years in length.
